USIT rings are metallic flat gaskets with an internally or externally vulcanized, trapezoidal, rubber-elastic sealing bead for the static sealing of bolted joints and flange connections. They are primarily used in the process industry as well as in the food and pharmaceutical sectors. USIT rings are always used when high tightness is required, high pressure prevails and a secure seal must be guaranteed.

The sealing bead of the USIT ring bolt seals provides a secure, self-reinforcing seal even under the most difficult conditions such as high pressures.

USIT-Ring: Screw gaskets in a hygienic design

We have developed the USIT-Ring Hygienic Usit® especially for the high demands of the process industry. In contrast to standard USIT rings, these are EHEDG-compliant and ensure that no germs or biofilms can form as bacterial colonies or corrosion under the screw head. This ensures a hygienically optimized design.

The metallic flat gaskets enable screws to be sealed extremely reliably and without dead space. For applications with particularly aggressive CIP/SIP cleaning and high steam sterilization temperatures as well as greasy process media, we rely on the fluorinated premium compound Fluoroprene® XP 45 material. This means that the USIT ring can be used at even higher temperatures and is also resistant to polar and non-polar media and flavorings.
