Description

  • Braided and impregnated stuffing box packing
  • Square cross-section
  • Braiding made of high-temperature resistant, flexible graphite yarns, each reinforced in the centre with thin inconel wire
  • Also available as Merkel® G-Spezial I 6569 with corrosion inhibitor
  • High temperature and chemical resistance
  • Very low leakage
  • High pressure resistance
  • Quick repair for a wide range of valve dimensions
  • Sealing of rotating shafts or translating rods
  • Sealing effect due to axial compression by means of stuffing box gland
  • Very pressure-resistant braided packing with equally excellent sealing behaviour
  • Recommendation: Extrusion protection for gaps > 0.2 mm by using Merkel® Carbosteam 6550
  • Also available as Merkel® G-Spezial I 6569 with corrosion inhibitor
