Design Sketch

Description

The bellows of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies have a variety of applications, mainly in the automotive sector and general industry. With excellent quality, bellows protect moving parts against external influences like dirt and prevent the loss of lubricants. Available in all kinds of designs, bellows can also take up axial movements. The bellows of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies are used in all kinds of designs and materials for any customer requirement.

Most commonly used in the following applications:
Agricultural, forestry and construction machinery with greater exposure to dirt
Dirt
Oils and greases
Piston rods
Protection for guideways
Shafts and propeller shafts against dust
Trap and crush guards for people

Bellows from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies

The bellows from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies are characterized by their outstanding quality and durability. They are extremely versatile and are primarily used in the automotive industry and general industry. Whether as single or multi-fold bellows - our bellows have been tried and tested in use for decades and are constantly being developed and adapted to the latest challenges and technologies.

Bellows are universally applicable

Our bellows can be used globally and act as protective seals for spherical plain bearings, ball joints and drive shafts. Bellows of outstanding quality protect moving parts against external influences such as dirt and also prevent the loss of lubricants.

The protective elements consist of a movable bellows part and two connection areas for fastening. Bellows can also absorb movements transverse to the axis direction and even a combination of both types of movement, as is necessary for gearbox shift levers, for example.

Another advantage: They can follow axial movements within the limit values Lmin (compressed length) and Lmax (extended length).

Bellows for the automotive industry and general industry

Bellows, for example, reliably protect the ball joints in tie rods of steering systems and chassis from environmental influences. They also prevent lubricants from escaping. Thanks to the reinforced sealing bellows with vulcanized or mounted clamping elements made of metal or plastic on one or both connection areas, there is no corrosion of the integrated L-rings and spring washers.

Another advantage: damage to the folding bellows caused by clip or clamping rings cutting into the bellows is ruled out.

The drive shaft bellows are also used on the front and rear wheel drive of vehicles, construction machinery and commercial vehicles. They ensure reliable permanent lubrication of the joints and at the same time prevent grease from escaping and dirt from entering. The steering bellows is a multi-fold bellows with an adapted geometry that is used to protect steering linkages.

Our range of bellows

Freudenberg Sealing Technologies offers various types of bellows: Bellows in the standard range, sealing bellows for ball and socket joints, propshaft bellows, rolling lobe bellows for longitudinal shafts and steering bellows.
