Description

  • Braided and impregnated stuffing box packing
  • Square cross-section
  • Graphite-free packing made of PTFE silk yarn in combination with high stable aramid yarn reinforced corners and a silicon-oil free lubrication
  • Stabilised packing with longer service life
  • Gentle on shafts
  • No possible discolouration of the medium
  • Good sliding properties of the PTFE
  • High tensile strength and extremely low tendency to gap extrusion due to the stable aramid yarns
  • Sealing of rotating shafts or translating rods
  • Sealing effect due to axial compression by means of stuffing box gland
  • The use of end-rings usually required where pure PTFE silk packings are applied against high pressures and borderline temperatures is not necessary

Most commonly used in the following applications:

  • All water pump applications
  • Use in plunger pumps
  • Sealing of mixers, kneaders and sootblowers
