Description

  • Braided and impregnated stuffing box packing
  • Square cross-section
  • Consisting of flexible graphite core with low-wear sheathing made of pure carbon yarn
  • Soluble chloride content below 50 ppm
  • High temperature resistant and good heat dissipation
  • Low leakage
  • Can be used as an end ring for extrusion protection and as a wiper with Merkel® Grafiflex or Merkel® G-Spezial

Shafts and propeller shafts against dust
  • Sealing of rotating shafts or translating rods
  • Sealing effect due to axial compression by means of stuffing box gland
  • Good elasticity, high cross-sectional density and durable volume stability
  • Dense and heat-resistant sheathing
  • Easier assembly and optimised sliding behaviour on spindle due to graphite-filled impregnation
