They also compensate for the lateral forces and deflections that occur in valves. Thanks to their outstanding flexibility, the guide tapes are not damaged during assembly.
Our guide bands are food-compliant
Our guide bands meet the high requirements of the food and process industry as well as all legal requirements - both the American FDA requirements and those of European legislation in accordance with EU1935/2004 and EU10/2011 for plastics that come into contact with food. Thanks to the food-compliant material, we offer equipment manufacturers a significantly more wear-resistant and therefore economically attractive alternative to other approved guide bands.
Guide bands with long service lives
Freudenberg's guide bands are made of the premium material PTFE Y005 and have a uniquely low extrusion tendency. This guarantees a long service life. The Y005 material consists of a virginal PTFE and a filler. In addition to their long service life, the guides also impress with their resistance to CIP/SIP cleaning media and processes.
Guide bands: Versatile use for high requirements
Freudenberg Sealing Technologies has developed a patented hard fabric guide for its guide tapes. This makes bending of piston rods in long-stroke cylinders, insufficient lubrication with short strokes or tilting of the piston rod with a short guide distance a thing of the past.
Thanks to the special profiling of the Guivex guides, the applied lateral load is optimally distributed over the entire length of the guide element. The absence of stress peaks at the edges also improves the penetration of the lubricant into the area between the guide and the mating surface.
